The founder behind Level Next

Max Bergstrom started Level Next Consulting & Marketing after watching too many good businesses lose ground, not from a bad product, but from marketing that was scattered across too many hands.

Why Level Next exists

Before founding Level Next, Max spent years watching the same pattern play out with business owners across San Diego and beyond: a great offer, real expertise, and a marketing setup stitched together from a freelancer here, an agency there, and a tech stack nobody fully understood. The work was good in pieces. It just never added up to anything predictable.

That’s the problem Level Next was built to solve — not more marketing, but one integrated system: authority, distribution, conversion, and follow-up, working together instead of competing for attention.

How Max approaches growth

Every engagement starts the same way: with a Visibility & Growth Blueprint, not a pitch. Max believes a business should be able to see exactly where its growth is leaking before committing to anything — and that a good partner tells a business when something isn’t a fit, not just when it is.

Today, Max leads the team’s strategy work directly, personally reviewing every Blueprint and staying hands-on with the accounts running the Omni Growth Codex™.

The Guitar Has Entered the Chat

Business strategy isn’t the only thing Max knows how to riff on. He’s the founding frontman and rhythm guitarist of San Diego rock band Avenue Army, where he trades spreadsheets for six strings and strategy decks for stage lights. He’s been writing songs since he was a kid, and apparently still hasn’t run out of things to say.

The Boss Who Calls Him “Dad”

Max spends a lot of time helping businesses find their next move. But at home, there’s one person who has always had a much more important title for him: Dad.

Meet Lennon, Max’s daughter and one of his favorite reasons to step away from the laptop, put the phone down, and enjoy the moment. Because while building businesses is rewarding, building memories with your kids is the real long game.

"Outbound done wrong damages brands. Outbound done right builds pipelines. We choose the second."

— Max Bergstrom, Founder
